HISTORY

We are proud to present
the well established and traditional Hotel Bismarck,
which was founded towards the end of the 19th century. The hotel started off as a café situated on the ground floor,
and later grew into a popular bourgeois hotel. The Hotel Bismarck was named
after the first chancellor of the German Empire,
Otto von Bismarck, who was responsible for
the unionisation of the German Empire in 1871. Our Hotel is easy to find in Dusseldorf,
as even the street the hotel is on
was given the same name. Between 1970 and 1996 the new owner of
the Hotel Bismarck Mr. Spichalsky rented the property. In 1996 he bought the hotel, and ever since then
it has been run by the Spichalsky family. The Hotel Bismarck is a charming place to stay,
and no one can speak of its tales and
history better than
Mr. Spichalsky himself.
